In the spirit of allyship, and particularly in view of my settler background, it is important to me to acknowledge the privilege that I have to live and work on the traditional territory of many indigenous nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples, and what is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. I also wish to acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit.
